In 1985, Mitchell Gerson, Broker of WestShore Real Estate Group opened his first real estate brokerage "Equity Real Estate" in Chicago exceeding $3 million dollars in sales during his first year. Over the past three decades he has maintained his brokerage along with having purchased and developed more than 80 properties valued at over $400 million dollars. With his expertise in real estate development, investments, property management and brokerage services, Gerson's career spans multiple facets of the real estate industry. WestShore Real Estate Group is the evolution of his desire to transform real estate brokerages into nimble, cutting-edge, accessible and responsible agencies.

Heidi Gerson, CEO and Founder of WestShore Real Estate began her career in 1990 after purchasing a multifamily property in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood. Heidi took on the role of general contractor and completed a gut renovation of the property, leased the units and became a landlord. She also joined a local real estate brokerage and began leasing apartments and selling condominiums and single family homes. In 1995, Heidi became an agent for Gerson Associates Brokerage & Development. During her years at Gerson Associates, she gained valuable experience in property management and development of new construction single family homes, condominiums, mixed use properties and affordable housing projects. Heidi's passion for real estate and architecture lead to the design/build of a multimillion dollar luxury single family residence in Chicago's North Shore. After moving to San Diego with her family, she founded WestShore Real Estate Group with a goal to break the barriers of corporate real estate brokerages in practice, agent empowerment and customer service offering a client focused suite of services aimed at transforming the entire customer experience.
